Their debut studio album Shades of Deep Purple contains four original songs and four covers, including The Beatles ‘Help’ and Jimi Hendrix’s ‘Foxy Lady’ [We think they mean Hey Joe] Although not an immediate hit on initial release Shades of Deep Purple has gone on to be a classic moment in Deep Purple history.
